Tom Hoyt has many years of experience practicing law. He specializes in wills, trusts and estate planning, probate, business law, real estate transactions, and dispute resolution. Tom has served for years on the Eugene Estate Planning Council and the Lane County Bar Probate Section. He is well-known for his legal abilities and community service.


Tom has experience with diverse clientele including seniors, major banks, developers, businesses, and entrepreneurs. He is a listener and problem solver.

Tom stays up-to-date on the latest legal standards and practices. He is involved in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, Business Law Section, Business Litigation Section, Corporate Counsel Section, Estate Planning Section, Debtor-Creditor Section, Litigation Section, and Real Estate and Land Use Section. Tom has enjoyed an AV rating from Martindale-Hubble for many years.

Personal Focus:

When he’s not working, Tom is a dedicated community member who believes in giving back. He is the past President of the McKenzie River Discovery Center;  see mckenziediscoverycenter.org. Tom also serves as a director with the Bohemia Foundation and the McKenzie River Guides Association. He also donates his time at senior centers where he serves as a general counselor and legal practitioner.


Tom and his wife Peggy were married for 53 years before she died on January 10, 2019. Peggy and Tom were blessed with two children and their families. Seven grandchildren keep holidays active and fun. Peggy helped start the Relief Nursery in 1976 as a Junior League service project which has since helped countless families and children in preventing child abuse and neglect while gaining national attention as a model community organization.
